INSTALLATION INFORMATION FOR THE BIDET ADAPTER
1. Loosen the bolts securing the toilet seat and lift seat off.
2. Place the Bidet Adapter on the toilet bowl with the mounting plates over the toilet seat bolt holes.
3. Replace the toilet seat on top of the Bidet Adapter and secure the bolts holding both the seat and the Bidet Adapter firmly in position. Note: The Bidet Adapter mounting plates can be adjusted so that the bidet nozzle is suitably located beneath the seat.
4. If the Bidet Adapter is replacing a similar fixture or a hand-held bathroom/toilet spray such as a Shattaf, Muslim or Indian Shower, simply remove the spray head or old fixture and reconnect the existing flexible hose to the new Bidet Adapter. Most 1/2" flexible hoses are compatible.
5. In most North American bathroom plumbing systems, the only additional components needed for installation are a flexible hose and a T-connector with washer. This Plumbing Kit is usually sold separately but may have been included with your Bidet Adapter if bought as a package.
6. To install using the Plumbing Kit (see picture below), close the water supply shut off valve to the toilet, flush and drain the toilet tank. Then disconnect the existing flexible hose to the tank. Note: it is advisable to place a small bowl under the connection when removing the hose to catch any water still left in the tank.
7. Insert the washer into the coupling end of the T-connector and screw tightly onto the toilet tank water inlet connection. Then attach the existing water supply hose to the inlet at the bottom of the T-connector.
8. Finally, connect the flexible hose provided to the T-connector side outlet and to the Bidet Adapter and turn on the water supply shut off valve.
9. In some countries with different types of toilet plumbing connections, such as rigid copper or plastic piping, the Plumbing Kit will not be suitable and a separate water supply with flexible hose will have to be provided. This may require the services of a plumber to complete.
